Akshay Labroo, IAS officer from Tripura cadres, on Friday assumed the charge of Director Information and Public Relations, Jammu and Kashmir.
Subsequently, after assuming the charge, the Director took a detailed tour of the office complex and also interacted with the officials of different sections of the department.
While interacting with the officials, the Director asked them to work with utmost sincerity and dedication.
Labroo was on Wednesday assigned additional charge of Director Information J&K after he was posted as Additional Secretary in the Lt Governor’s Secretariat.
Labroo has previously held the position of Policy Associate at the Ministries of Defence and Industries & Commerce prior to his joining in the Jammu & Kashmir Government .
Before being given the additional charge of the post of Director Information J&K, he was posted as Mission Director, Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 (AMRUT 2.0).
