Burn Hall student selected for Albatross National inter school Golf Tourney

Ayan Rafi class XI student of Burnhall Higher Secondary School Srinagar was selected to play Albatross National inter school Golf Tournament at Classic Golf Country Club Manesar Gurgoan on 30 & 31 August 2018.Being the sole body for promoting Junior Golf in the valley Jammu and Kashmir Golf Association selected Ayan after following his track record of being one of the youngest golfer in 2007 and youngest budding golfers of the valley 2012, Sponsored by J&K Golf Association Kashmir for the above tour which is one of the few national tournaments that Ayan Rafi had played representing Burnhall school and valley during his junior golf period of eleven years when he played his first national tournament at the age of 8 in the category E twice. President J&K Golf Association Mushtaq Burza has expressed desire to promote such promising young golfers which vis the aim of the association as Kashmir being the golfers paradise but owing to the mismatched school days and vacation with other parts of the country our children miss opportunities and are not able to display their talents. Ayan Rafi has been displaying his talent in basketball as well where he has represented state in National Basketball Ball Championship three times. Besides he has also participated in local Golf Tournament in Rochester Minnesota and Milwakee Wisconsin USA.Dr Farooq Abdullah Ex CM a fanatic master golfer himself too congratulated Ayan for his tournament participation and wished him luck for future endeavours.
