Dr Masrat Iqbal, currently posted as Block Medical Officer Bandipora is known for achieving milestones as recently, he achieved 100 percent target in vaccinating everyone above 18 years of age in Vewan village.
Soon after achieving milestone, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi in his Programme “Man ki Baat” appreciated the officer for achieving the target of vaccinating eligible population in a village which became the first village of India to achieve this mile Stone.
Following the appreciation from Prime Minister of India, Dr Masarat Iqbal Wani was Selected for state level, best management of covid-19 and 100% vaccination in district Bandipora, award on National Doctors Day at srinagar.
Masrat was awarded by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on doctors day at Srinagar where NHM director Mohammad Yaseen Choudhary and Director health services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmad were also present.
On achieving the milestone, Masrat hailaed the efforts of his team on achieving this feat.
“I want to congratulate my entire team because they worked day and night to get the vaccination done in Bandipora district and I also want to congratulate the people of Bandipora who have always cooperated with us”, Masrat Said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has mentioned the name of Weyan village of district Bandipora of Kashmir for achieving the milestone of 100 percent vaccination of those above the age of 18 years in “Mann ki Baat”.
The Prime Minister appreciated the health workers of the district and complimented them for achieving the 100% target.
